Women's Wellness

Many women experience irregular cycles, painful periods and other symptoms of hormone imbalance that leave them feeling confused and frustrated with their bodies. However, feeling this way does not have to be an inevitable part of being a woman. Naturopathic medicine offers many solutions to help support women during all stages of life. Lab testing is often used to identify specific areas of imbalance, while therapies like nutrition, acupuncture and targeted nutraceutical and herbal supplementation can work to restore proper hormone balance in the body.

My Approach to Hormone Health

Your initial assessment

We'll spend an hour together discussing your main symptoms, medical history, diet, and lifestyle habits in detail to get a complete picture of your health status. Depending on your unique hormonal concerns, we will discuss the most appropriate testing options.

Functional testing

Though testing is not required, it is often recommended. It can provide valuable information to help us identify the specific hormonal imbalances that may be contributing to your symptoms. It also helps target your treatment plan accordingly.

Your individualized treatment plan

Based on the information gathered from your initial assessment and test results, you'll receive an individualized treatment plan that includes dietary and lifestyle recommendations, and targeted hormone balancing nutrients and botanicals.

Follow up appointments

It can take some time to restore hormone balance. Once we initiate your treatment plan, we will monitor your progress with monthly follow-ups for approximately 3-6 months. The more effort you are willing to put into your treatment plan, the sooner you will begin to notice improvements and the more likely that you will experience lasting results.
